Regn is an app that makes buying and selling second-hand clothes as easy and secure as traditional online shopping.
The app is available in the App Store and is expected for Android in early 2024.
With the Regn app, Regn and Kolibri have set new standards for user experience and security in trading used items in Iceland.
Regn is a startup led by Kolibri and pioneers who are passionate about fashion and the circular economy. While Kolibri managed the branding, design, product management, and app programming, the Rain team also includes experts in marketing and commerce, among other areas.
The Regn brand is characterized by strong graphic features, such as yellow labels, and recognizable photographs. The art direction was in the hands of Kolibri while the photographs were taken by Svanhildur Kristjánsdóttir.
One of the guiding principles of Regn is that the buyer's experience should be as close as possible to what happens at the best online stores. Buyers pay for the goods with Aur (Apple Pay coming soon) and no interaction between buyer and seller takes place until delivery has to be arranged. This prevents haggling, nuisance, and even inappropriate interactions or fraud that plague traditional peer-to-peer sales systems.
You can browse through the product selection and search in the same way as in other online clothing stores. It is also possible to find and follow sellers who are of similar clothing size or have a selection that suits the buyer's taste.
It is easy for sellers to make their second-hand clothes a source of income. There is no start fee or charge for listing clothes for sale. Regn only takes a commission for sold items — if and when you sell them.
